About

Tyler Stevens is an actor, collaborator, and a dabbling musician. He is originally from Virginia, where he was honored as Richmond Theatre Critics Circle’s Most Promising Newcomer in 2016. He worked on Cadence Theatre’s production of Everybody (Somebody/Everybody), Richmond Shakes’ Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (Rosencrantz), TheatreLab’s Admissions (Charlie), VaRep’s Broadway Bound and Brighton Beach Memoirs (Eugene), and Cadence Theatre’s production of Rabbit Hole (Jason) which earned him an RTCC Award for Best Supporting Actor. He holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in Acting from the University of Central Florida. He is SAFD recommended certified in Unarmed and has taken advanced workshops in stage combat through The Tourist Trap (focusing on longsword, smallsword, knife, unarmed, and rapier and dagger). He has taken additional advanced workshops such as: the Not So Silent Art of Mime with Bill Bowers, clowning with Drew the Dramatic Fool, and stand-up with Judy Carter. He loves making people laugh and can juggle and (sort of) unicycle. Tyler is currently working as an Actor/Interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg as well as Richmond Shakespeare’s production of Witch. In his free time Tyler enjoys working on and riding bicycles (he has way too many in his apartment). He also enjoys cooking and baking and has recently started exploring recipes forgotten by history. He loves to share his confectionary concoctions with the people he loves. His ability to pick up a hobby is unmatched and much to his wallet’s chagrin, the most recent addition to his collection of hobbies is golf, let’s book a tee time!
